Destaney Wishon returns with some great insights and data from tests ran on numerous accounts over the last few weeks.

What the Data Tells Us

  • Sponsored brands shows an increase in sales.
  • Invest in new ad types to drive exponential increase in sales.
  • Recommendation: if you have an AMS or Advertising Consul Account, run your product display ads over there.
    • What we can learn: Have an ad copy in there to increase your conversion.
  • Get your Ad copy out. Look at your competitive advantage and add those things into your copy.
    • Make it short and sweet. Put a 50 character limit.
    • if you are running coupons, make sure to push those PDAs. They look great on mobile.
    • Start with your boldest statements – if it gets rejected then try again.
    • Test words like: premium and so on. BEST will be rejected.
    • Use video as long as it is in the guideline. Don’t use analysis paralysis. Just get your ad out now so you can get data
    • Use your video on search.
  • Re-targeting display ads. Make sure to retarget off-platform.
  • You can do CPMs off searches and purchases. Make sure to re-target them with supplements or accessories to their search or purchase.
    • Don’t get frustrated by bidding high. Start small. 
    • Use data evidence to make your adjustments.
    • if you are a small seller, make sure to  not spend too much on these new tools.
  • Invest in your foundational stuff first and then reach out into other areas.
