I see a lot of accounts whereby brands are not dialling in deep enough on their keyword research and tend to filter keywords by search vol on tools or base on frequency rank on Brand Analytics. Another thing I see is when sellers research the market and build a differentiated product which is too far removed from the niche that they were targeting, and falling between the stools. When they chase the original keywords and their product appears in the returned results it stands out like a sore thumb, in a good way if they convert, but can be a problem if they don’t. Because they no longer have the option to fall back on other keywords because they have created a new sub market without any mature keywords to rely on. Then you are in the territory of creating a market, which in itself is another podcast. Amazon is searchers in intent for supply and demand (in the main). Check out today’s show to find out how you can build a framework for your own products.
