Captive Team
- Control the backend of Amazon depending where you go – Catalogue or FBA
- They have better tools than normal Amazon people don’t have
- Have to get past 1st Line of Defence
- Raise a ticket to get past the 1st line of people off the scent – make it something way out of their jurisdiction
- The 1st Line don’t have access to Nodes so talk about that to get past them
- Open two tickets at the same time to get to the 2nd or 3rd tier
Strategies Deployed
- The faster you do this the better the results are – the first week is key to getting reviews back
- Get the emotional response to work for you
- If they can raise the ticket for you it has more weight coming from an Amazon person to another Amazon person
- Telling Amazon staff that you’re going to lose your job for not getting the reviews back
- Worked with some and got lots of reviews back, others not so much
- Making LOADS of phone calls
- Raising a couple of case tickets a day referencing other previous cases
- Start with Seller Performance, Priority Seller performance plus, Market abuse, community abuse, any Manager, anyone in Jeff’s team and then Jeff’s the last one
- Look at Seller Performance email, look on forums for different contact emails inside Amazon
- Sight the previous cases and where they went and build the chain of evidence to build the case

- Get permalinks of reviews
- Say you never did giveaways
- Always in ToS
- My Sales have dropped x%
- Affecting me and hurting my business because of why
- Amazon have said in their ToS that they won’t remove legitimate reviews – so play this back to them
How Many Accounts Impacted
- Had multiple accounts affected by the review wipe
- In Aprils’ they had seven accounts affected and they got all but two back
- Lost 2,000 Five Star reviews
- Lost only One Star reviews on another listing
- It varies on different accounts
- Accounts locked and can’t get new reviews added

Top 3 Things
- Have screenshots of old reviews – use Google cache to get it
- Bombard Amazon with a lot of cases
- If you have Brand Registry then it’s a different team and more helpful in getting reviews back and removing
